Our house is adjacent to the 1000 year old circular wall of saint genies de fontedit, a small wine-growing village 15km north of beziers. All rooms have en-suite facilities and come equipped with hairdryers, cooling fans, and, if you need it, wi-fi broadband connection for your laptop! it is typical of the style of house built by vineyard owners in the herault region and is at least 150 years old, that we know. Whilst a lot of time has been spent on upgrading facilities, the house retains all of its character and many of its original features. A traditional languedocian staircase climbs from the hallway through the first floor and up to the studio apartment. All the oak beams used in the roof structure have been treated and left revealed. Original terracotta tiles have been uncovered and are slowly being cleaned, restored and sealed. Our cherry orchard, with hammocks, loungers and deckchairs is the perfect place to relax and barbecue.
